CHURCH CHOIR FESTIVAL CONCERT is March 14th at 4 PM Holiday Island Community Church.  The Guest Director is Ms. Lynda K. Jesse, Associate Professor of Music, who joined the College of the Ozarks faculty in 1979 where she conducts the highly regarded Chorale.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal and instrumental music education from the School of the Ozarks.  She completed her Master’s of Music degree at Northeast Louisiana University and post Master’s work in choral conducting at Sam Houston State University.

FOUNDERS’ DAY CELEBRATION SUNDAY APRIL 11, 2010.  Compare this date to the one on the front of your bulletin and you’ll see that 17 years ago--to the day!--HICC first met for worship.  Wouldn’t this afternoon be a great time to invite former church members to be your houseguests and celebrate with us?

EASTER FLOWERS – Help to decorate our altar and your home for Easter!  You can purchase an Easter Lily for $8 each and dedicate it ‘in memory of’ or ‘in honor of’ your selection.  This dedication will be published in Easter Sunday’s bulletin and you can take your plant(s) home with you on that day.  Please fill out the slip and deposit it, along with cash or check, in the designated envelope on the ‘sign-up’ shelf at the rear of the sanctuary.  Questions?  Contact Phyllis Jones, pjj@hbeark.com, 479-363-6005

PLEASE PRAY WITH US.  The HICC Prayer Circle meets once a month but the members pray daily for a list of those in need.  Knowing the power of prayer, if you feel called to this ministry, please call Yvonne Calhoun 479-253-8518 or Georgina Thrasher 479-253-8900 for more information.

DUE TO SURGERY, BONNIE DILLARD will not be allowed to drive until April 1st.  She needs local transportation starting March 18th until April 1st. Local transportation, would be to take her to see Reber at Brighton Ridge and the grocery store, etc.  If you care to help, there is a sign up sheet on the ledge in the back of the church.  For each day, it is broken down by morning and afternoon.  The morning hours will be 9 AM to 1 PM and the afternoon hours will be from 1 PM to 5 PM.  You may choose to take a whole day or a half day.  Your help will be appreciated.  Details will be worked out after Bonnie comes home on March 11th.  She may not want to go out all the days.  Those are the details I will discuss with her when she arrives home.  If you have questions, please call Linda Keith at 253-5596.

AARP & IRS Tax-Aide Program provides free income tax preparation, free electronic filing and answers tax questions.  This program is intended to serve low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and above.  All information is strictly confidential. Carroll County AARP-Tax Aide Program will be held in

Haller Hall in Cook Center February 3 through April 15, 2010 on Wednesdays from 9 AM – 2 PM and Thursdays from 9 AM- 4PM.  Please  contact Dean Larsen (253-1051) or Anne Dray (253-7611) if you have questions.

VALLEY VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH is now an official host site for the Angel Food Ministries, a food distribution ministry for the budget-conscious.  Angel Food is available to all income levels.  Check out their website www.angelfoodministries.com for complete details.  Georgina Thrasher and Pat Kasner can also provide details about the program and costs.  March 15 is the deadline to order.

THE UPPER ROOM devotional guides are on the back table.  Please feel free to take one.

Anthem Text

Somebody’s Knocking at Your Door

Knockin', knockin', knockin' at your door.

Knockin', knockin', knockin' at your door.

O sinner, why don't you answer?  Somebody's knockin' at your door.

Knocks like Jesus, somebody's knockin' at your door.

Knocks like Jesus, somebody's knockin' at your door.

O sinner, why don't you answer?   Somebody's knockin' at your door.    Jesus calls you, somebody's knockin' at your door.

Jesus calls you, somebody's knockin' at your door.

O sinner, why don't you answer?   Somebody's knockin' at your door.  Knockin', knockin', knockin' at your door,

Knockin', knockin', knockin' at your door

O sinner, why don't you answer?

Somebody's knockin' Somebody's knockin'

Somebody's knockin' at your door!
